For some odd reason I have been having server issues on my end. I had a poll going, and asked other people. If they had been having similar issues. They all came back with no. I did recently get two people telling me the server seemed a tad slow. And recently the issues have been popping up more and more on my end. I have contently contacted my server host. Each time they only fix it for a short period or don't fix it at at all. I have run virus and malware scans, deleted cookies and browser cache numerous times. Without Luck.
I still have the same issue, therefore I have come to the decision that it is not worth the amount we are paying for the server. What point is it if I can not get in and keep the site active and up to date? I have decided to move the server to a free (and MORE reliable) server. I've used them for my other sites for months now with out problems. *Knock on wood* So with in the next few days the site will be switching servers.
From what I understand is we do get to keep the same domain. We've already had to change once and lost a bunch of members because of this change. And I am going to make damn sure that does not happen again. I'll make damn sure we keep the same domain. When I have gotten the okay, and my questions answered from my server host. I will start the back-up process. During this time the main site, gallery and forums will be offline.
Meaning no posting, no new registrations. This is to make sure we dont lose any thing. And I would hate for members to be discouraged if they lose any posts. If for any reason your account is deleted by mistake in the process (which i highly doubt it) then I am sorry for the inconvenience but you will have to re-register. But I am going to make sure that every thing is backed up properly and we don't lose any thing.
The backing up process shouldn't take more the 24-48 hours. Hopefully not more, we will of course inform you once this process has started and when it has ended so you know when to come back. Again we are sorry for any inconvenience. And we hope that we don't have to switch server again in the future.
